There are several types of online businesses but basically all of them are about selling something online, could be a product or a service. I’m going to talk about affiliate marketing. This type of business is about having a site in which you promote a certain product of any niche. A niche is a targeted market, some niches are too broad and for that reason you need to narrow it, so you will be able to target your audience better. An audience is a determined group of people who have a problem, need or hobby and are looking for a solution or useful information.

The traffic will be growing with the time, so try to write several times per week and if it’s possible, write every day. Good content is the key to attract traffic and make sales.

So if you have a website about losing weight and the product you want to sell is a gym membership or a product to make people lose weight, you can write about good or healthy food, food that makes people gain weight, how to do some exercises and so on. It’s important that you have a good product, a product that is not a scam or a junk, a product that really helps people with their problems, otherwise you will end up losing traffic and making no sales. So for example, let’s suppose that the keyword “buy a climbing helmet” has 2.000 of searches per month and the competition is medium and let’s suppose that the keyword “purchase a climbing helmet” has 500 searches per month and the competition is low; it means that will be easier to rank (that your site appears in the first 8 positions of the first page of google) on the searches for the second keyword since the competition is low and weak, but will be more difficult to rank for the first one since there’s more competition. Sometimes there may be low competition but if it’s strong could be difficult to rank too, and there may be high competition but if it’s weak, it wouldn’t be so difficult to rank well.

So if there are more people buying from the first keyword than for the second it’s better to target the first keyword, since there are more people buying through that keyword and you will have more opportunities to make sales; however, the key is to pick up keywords that have good amount of searches and medium or low competition, sometimes could have high competition too, but it depends on the keyword research tool you work with, not all specially the free ones show the amount of competition accurately, I’m not an affiliate to jaaxy, I don’t promote it, but I recommend it if you look for a good keyword research tool. Ranking is important since you will make more sales if your site appears on the first page of google than if it appears on the second one or third one.

It’s important that you choose a good affiliate program (one that doesn’t steal the commissions), the affiliate program will give you a unique link, you promote your product or service with that unique link and if someone buys through that link you will get a commission.

Are PTC Sites Good For Making Money?

Most of PTC sites say to you that you can make good money, however I think it’s difficult to reach that goal through PTC sites and even more for people who live outside USA or outside England and Australia.

First, many PTC sites have restrictions for people who don’t live inside USA. Often, it says that due to your location there aren’t offers for you, and mostly, you just spend the time staring at adsense and the points that you get are very, very few, sometimes it seems so far the opportunity to reach the minimum required to withdraw money to your paypal account. Even if you have the whole day to spend doing that it could take you months (if you just spend a couple of hours, much more) to withdraw just 20 bucks, besides that it’s not something you can enjoy doing so much.

I tried several PTC sites but I got bored fast seeing how you have to view 1.000 or 2.000 to earn $1 and the minimum required to withdraw was 20, so I think it’s not a good way to make money, you'd have to have so many referrals to earn something good; I know there are people who earn decen amounts, but as I said working with so many referrals. I Hate My Job

There could be many reasons why people hate their jobs, maybe because there is a bad working atmosphere, due to the payment, the boss, the tasks you have to do, or your job is so much hard; sometimes could be due to you have to wake up early and that’s so much hard for some people (usually people who work or study better at nights).

Sometimes these common problems can be solved or relieved and sometimes can’t. If you have a bad working atmosphere you can try to solve it, almost always you can’t make your co-workers quit their job and you can’t ask for a transferring either the company don’t have that option or you can’t ask for it due to your family or some other implications that a moving might have in your life. So, what to do? There are situations which you can do something to fix it but in others you just have to bear it.

About having a bad working atmosphere,  try to talk with them and solve the conflict, talk with a superior or sue to your co-workers or boss due to the treatment you have received. However is not good for your physical and psychological health to bear these kind of situations so what is recommended in these cases is to quit; is more important your health that the money you might get; life is just one so enjoy it and be as happy as possible.

If your job is hard try to do activities that relax you, mainly, activities that help you to deal with stress, for example, doing exercise, having a pet, practicing a sport in your free time and try to sleep well.
